A single feature of this former farmhouse in the middle of the Somme Battlefields stood out during my stay - the private bathroom. It was so spacious and well-equipped that I felt like royalty, with the bath and shower providing a luxurious experience. The free toiletries and hairdryer made me feel pampered, like I was being treated to a spa day. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day exploring the historic sites nearby.
Shower arrangement could be improved.

Very hospitable hosts, John and Jennie, with extensive knowledge of the local area and its WW1 history. Superb 4-course dinners available at a reasonable price, perfect after a long day exploring the memorials. The communal dining experience with other guests was fantastic.
Our bed was a little too firm for our liking, but our friends found theirs to be very comfortable. The toilet flushes were quite loud.

Our stay at The Silent Picket Bed & Breakfast was fantastic. After a long 9-hour drive, we were warmly welcomed by Jennie with delicious tea and homemade cakes. She recommended we visit the Thiepval Memorial, a truly humbling experience. Jennie also prepared a delicious four-course meal for us and the breakfast was exceptional. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, with a well-fitted ensuite. The property itself has a lovely garden, a fantastic library for World War research, and is centrally located near all the sites of interest. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The hospitality and listening of the hostess were mind-blowing, making us feel like family. The soundproofing of the bedroom walls was jaw-dropping, allowing us to learn foreign languages in peace. The spartan aspect of the large bedroom was super comfortable. The investigations paper for foreigners was a unique touch. And the breakfast, oh my goodness, it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for an INCREDIBLE stay.
